Bug Fixes

I went through and fixed all the errors in the console, updated essentials and worldedit, and repaired all the permissions in groupmanager. It was a productive morning.

Server Updated to 1.5.1!

That's Right, The Server Has Been Updated to 1.5.1

Notable Changes:
-/Scoreboard and /Testfor commands have been implemented
-Sand physics still broken
-Paintings can now be placed

Some 1.5 Update notes

-Sand physics don't work so well anymore
-World4 (Skylands) is closed until they update the skylands+ plugin
-New 1.5 commands are not implemented (/testfor, /scoreboard, etc.)
-Redstone timings changed :(      ...a lot
-Any Saberpeep-Brand redstone must be re calibrated for the new timings
-Paintings pop on placement (paintings cannot be placed)
-Nether portals have a tendency to teleport you into walls. (portals do not link)

THE SERVER HAS BEEN SUCCESSIVELY UPDATED TO 1.5!

A new Craftbukkit build has been released! Which means the server will have 1.5 compatibility. However it will be running a development build, meaning the server will be quite unstable and buggy until the next release. All server files have been backed up just in case.

"Connection Issues"

Sorry about the connections issues as of today (3/10/13). The internet at my house is quite fast but it fluctuates and that can cause connection issues. Be careful to note that every block you place plays its sound, as no sound often is a sign that the block data was not sent to the server.

Sorry about the issues, I hope the internet speeds are back up to normal by tomorrow.

A Glitch Warning

Ok, so today I just found a pretty bad glitch. It seems that the multiverse inventories plugin has problems transferring items with complex item data across worlds. Basically: books clear when traveling across worlds, and so do items with names. As of yet there is no patch or this bug. I will inform you with news as it arrives.

UPDATE 3/7/13: It seems that this only happens when the server closes when you are in another world from the book. Unfortunately the multiverse crew haven't updated in quite some time, I think hey are waiting for the 1.5 Bukkit release.

UPDATE 3/10/13: If you don't know already, store all item that have advanced metadata (enchanted items, books, etc.) in boxes before logging out to avoid the risk of losing them.

That was a good raid of the ufo. It looks like a lot of tnt traps went off, and there is lava everywhere. It looks like you guys got all of the emerald too.
For those of you who didn't make it, there is still a lot of iron from the wreckage of the alien ship to be raided.

World Edit Errors

There have been some strange things going on with world edit. I have been encountering a lot of world edit related errors in the console since the 1.4.7 update. Let me know if you find any bugs.

Server Crash

Ok, sorry guys. There was a server crash around 3:20 today (Saturday), caused by accidentally flipping the computer room's circuit breaker off. The server is back up and running normally as of 3:30 today. If you see any save-errors, notify me, and i will do my best to repair the damage.

Close encounters of the third kind!

There have been sightings of an alien ship near x=4000 z=4000. It's probably just reports from someone drunk on potions, but it may be worth checking out just in case.
